Team Coach Bus Driver
Position Overview

The Grand Junction River Hawks organization is seeking professional and experienced coach bus drivers. Drivers will transport the Grand Junction River Hawks NAHL hockey team and staff to and from away game destinations throughout the preseason, regular season and post-game season. Additional off-season trips may be available. Drivers are scheduled per away game trip and will stay with the team overnight and transport the team to and from the game facility.
This position is independently contracted and renewed on an annual basis. This position reports directly to the Grand Junction River Hawks Team Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
  • Transport the team and staff to and from away game destinations on the team owned MCI 56 passenger coach bus
  • Assist the team and staff in loading and unloading the bus
  • Oversee the bus parking at the away destination
  • Maintain trip logs and trip specific maintenance records

Qualifications
  • Current Commercial Driver's License Class B and passenger endorsement
  • Current CDL Physical on file with the State of Colorado
  • Experience as a coach bus driver
  • Clean driving record void of any violations
  • Successful acceptance onto company insurance policy

Compensation
This is a 1099 contracted position. A set reimbursement amount is paid for each trip destination. Adjustments are made for any changes in length of trip or stay based on unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions. A schedule of the reimbursement rates is provided on request. Hotel and meals are provided. Admission to game events is included when appropriate based on adherence to DOT requirements for hours worked.
