Job description

Part-Time CDL Driver For Athletics Department

Western Colorado University Athletics Department is seeking a part-time, as-needed CDL driver. Must have a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement, no air-brake restriction & an excellent driving record. Compensation is $35/hour up to 6 hours or $350/day + per diem.

Responsibilities include transporting Western athletes to competitions in Colorado and throughout the west. Safely and confidently operate a 56-passenger motor-coach or 30-passenger shuttle bus in a variety of weather conditions including rain, ice and snow over mountainous roads. Must be available for overnight trips and late night returns to Gunnison. Must work with coaching staff to deal with any changes or interruptions in trip itinerary. Conducts vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections and complies with Western's vehicle services policies and procedures.

Employment is subject to successful previous employer record check, department of motor vehicle record check, FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse query, and pre-employment drug screening.
