Job description

Position Overview:

The Motor Coach Operator operates a 46 passenger bus.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Picking passengers up at assigned location without delay.
  • Complete a pre/post trip bus inspection for each shift.
  • Follow all traffics laws and regulations.
  • Complete written reports as required.
  • Follow your assigned route, making designated stops as required.
  • Assists passengers with luggage as needed
  • Always ensure safety of the passengers, surrounding vehicles, as well as pedestrians and bicyclists while operating the vehicle.
  • Make sure you have the proper and clean attire.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Commercial Driver?s License Class A or Class B
  • Passenger endorsement
  • Airbrakes endorsement
  • SPAB or School Bus certificate a plus
  • Minimum 2 years driving charter bus
  • Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background with no felony, DWI/DUI, controlled substance arrests or convictions; pre-employment drug screen; DOT physical and MVR check
  • Must be able to successfully utilize GPS and electronic hours of service tracking technology
  • Must be able to drive and work outside in all kinds of weather
  • Ability to communicate by telephone, two-way radio and in person clearly
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must speak fluent English is a courteous, friendly and professional manner with supervisors, managers, customers, guests, co-workers and all other persons.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be willing and physically fit to be able to lift and move baggage (up to 75 lbs), maneuver up and down stairs, repeatedly bend, kneel and stretch.
  • Must be able to remain stationary (sitting) for long, extended periods of time
