Description

The Consumer Loan Processor performs consumer loan processing functions including document collection and organization, auditing, and quality assurance.  The Processor works in alignment with Service Level Agreements, meeting all production and quality metrics. 

Here’s what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

What You’ll Do:

  • Solicit, review and audit supporting documents for full completion and accuracy
  • Organize complete loan application file and submit for loan fulfillment
  • Document loan application status and member inquiries as appropriate
  • Respond to and resolve a high volume of member loan inquiries, both written and verbal
  • Collaborate with peer Processors, Loan Fulfillment Associates, and other internal and external points of contact in loan processing

Essential Skills:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years’ experience in customer service, financial services experience preferred
  • Familiar with the use of loan calculators to execute basic financial mathematics including simple interest calculations and amortization schedules
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines in a high-volume production environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to apply sound independent judgement
  • Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) with all levels within organization
  • Excellent listening skills with ability to ask probing questions to determine member needs and overcome objections
  • Proven skills and commitment in meeting or exceeding member expectations and requirements
  • Some knowledge of lending practices and industry standard processes, including Bank Secrecy Act regulations
  • Familiarity with regulatory policies and procedures, including SCRA, Truth in Lending, Reg. B, FCRA, and MLA is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Target Compensation: $22.21 to 26.71 per hour + annual bonus
