Job description

Solar Appointment Setter โ€” Greater Tampa Bay

$2,000+ Per Week Base Pay Path + Bonuses

1099 Opportunity | Part-Time or Full-Time | Leadership Track Open Typical Field Hours: 12pm to 8pm

Most jobs pay you to show up.

This one pays you to grow.

You will learn how to talk to anyone. How to lead. How to handle a no and keep your head up. How to read people. How to share something valuable without ever pushing it.

These are not skills you use for one season and forget. These are skills you keep for the rest of your life.

That is what this really is.

It Is Not If. It Is With Whom.

Here is the truth about solar.

It is not a matter of if families go solar. It is a matter of when. And more importantly, with whom.

That is where you come in.

Empire Energy is the fastest growing solar sales force in Tampa Bay. Last year we were voted America's best solar sales team. That is not a small thing. It means we get to be picky about who wears our name.

We do not need everybody.

We need the right people.

Why Homeowners Are Listening Right Now

Electric bills are at an all-time high. Families feel it every single month.

And here is what most of them do not know yet.

Solar is not the old, expensive, complicated headache they remember. In 2026 there is a new Tesla subscription program. Homeowners can get solar and a Tesla Powerwall battery backup for what can honestly feel like free.

Let me be straight with you. It is not magic, and it is not truly free. The cost is just set up in a smarter way. Families use the money they already spend on power every month instead of pulling extra cash out of their pocket. For the right home, that changes everything.

So solar does not need to be sold.

It just needs to be explained.

That is your job.

What This Role Actually Is:

This is a door-to-door field marketing position.

You are not closing deals at the door. You are not quoting prices. You are not negotiating. You are not pushing anyone or talking them into anything. You are not expected to be a solar expert.

You share information about the new 2026 Solar Subscription program. You pass out flyers. You hand out gifts. You have fun. You let homeowners know this program exists. When someone is a good fit, you collect a little basic information and help book them for a solar overview with one of our trained specialists.

Our specialists handle the design, the numbers, and the close.

You open the door. The system does the rest.

This program works with the major Florida utilities. Tampa Electric. Duke Energy. Florida Power & Light. Withlacoochee.

Not every home qualifies. The home needs good sun, a solid roof, and the right utility setup. That is exactly why we market. We are out there finding the right roofs and the right families. And the program is fully transferable, so it follows the home.

The Pay:

Let me be clear about the money, because you deserve straight talk.

This is not commission only. Our field marketing role includes a $2,000+ per week base pay path when you hit weekly performance standards, plus bonuses tied to your performance and closed projects.

We will walk you through the exact numbers in the interview. The standard is simple.

  • Show up.
  • Follow the system.
  • Track your activity.
  • Book qualified appointments.
  • Stay coachable.
  • Get paid.

Here is the honest part. We pour real money and real time into training you. So we hold a standard. If you do not earn at least $5,000 in your first month while training, we may have to part ways, unless there are clear circumstances or you are showing strong activity and coachability.

That is not meant to scare you. It is meant to respect you. If you are serious and willing to work, this is a real opportunity.

Schedule and Culture

Typical field hours are around 12pm to 8pm. It flexes with the team, the area, the weather, and the appointments. We are hiring part-time and full-time.

We meet at the office every Monday and Thursday at 11am for hands-on coaching, training, culture, and leadership.

This is not a fake online gig.

We have a real office. Real leaders. Real training. Real culture.

You will never be dropped in the field alone with no support. We train you on what to say, how to say it, how to track your numbers, how to handle a no, and how to get a little better every single week.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Working neighborhoods across the Greater Tampa Bay Region
  • Passing out flyers and homeowner information
  • Knocking doors professionally and respectfully
  • Explaining the basic idea of the 2026 Solar Subscription program
  • Offering gifts and incentives for qualified homeowner presentations
  • Helping homeowners see if their roof may be a good fit
  • Collecting basic contact information when appropriate
  • Booking virtual or in-home solar overview appointments
  • Tracking your doors, conversations, and appointments
  • Working with a team, never by yourself
  • Attending Monday and Thursday office training
  • Getting sharper every week

What You Will Not Be Doing:

  • You will not close solar contracts at the door
  • You will not quote final pricing
  • You will not pressure anyone who is not interested
  • You will not argue with people
  • You will not be expected to know everything about solar
  • You will not be left alone without leadership or coaching

This role is simple, but it is not easy.

You will walk. You will talk to strangers. Some people will be wide open to it. Some will think they already know everything. Some will not be interested at all. That is normal.

Your job is not to convince everyone.

Your job is to share information, stay respectful, find the right homes, and keep moving.

Who We Are Looking For

People who are coachable, positive, reliable, professional, and competitive. People who are comfortable talking to others, willing to walk outdoors, open to training, and excited to grow.

No solar experience required. No door-to-door experience required.

We would rather train someone with the right attitude than retrain someone with bad habits.

We recruit the smile and train the skill.

Who This Is Not For

This is not for someone who wants easy money. Not for someone who refuses coaching. Not for someone who falls apart at the first no. Not for someone who wants to do it their own way before they have learned the system. Not for someone who wants a desk job or who shows up only when they feel like it.

This opportunity rewards consistency, attitude, discipline, and effort.

Where It Can Go

Top performers can grow into leadership, training, recruiting, event marketing, home shows, trade shows, farmers markets, and optional sales tracks.

If you want more than a paycheck, this is where it gets exciting.

We are not just hiring people to knock doors.

We are developing leaders.

Before You Apply

Go to EmpireEnergyRecruiting.com and read through the opportunity.

Then do something most people will not do. Read it again.

We tell our serious candidates to read it daily before the interview, so you walk in already understanding our culture, our standard, and exactly what we are building. The people who do this stand out instantly.

How to Apply

Go to EmpireEnergyRecruiting.com and apply for an interview.

Then show up ready.

  • Camera on
  • On time
  • Focused
  • Ready to confirm you want this
  • Ready to tell us why you are a fit
  • Ready to ask good questions
  • Ready to be coached

We are picky because the opportunity is real. We do not need everybody. We need you, if you are the right one.

Empire Energy is growing in Tampa Bay.

The only question is whether you are ready to grow with us.
