Job Title: Solar Installer
Position Summary:
Join SunVena as a Solar Installer and play a crucial role in installing residential rooftop solar systems. Your primary responsibilities will encompass installing and maintaining solar systems while adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards. This role requires teamwork, construction experience, comfort working on roofs, and the ability to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the team to install racking systems and solar panels on residential roofs.
  • Assemble solar panels, arrays, and necessary supporting structures.
  • Properly install rooftop junction boxes (J-Boxes) for rail-mount, shingle, and tile roofs.
  • Install and wire rooftop conduit jumpers using PVC and EMT with code-compliant routing and support.
  • Terminate and install MC4 connectors with precision and integrity.
  • Read and interpret standard solar installation plans and schematics.
  • Conduct basic electrical checks (e.g., proper wire polarity) and assist with more advanced testing.
  • Ensure installations meet company quality standards.
  • Deliver high-quality installations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide service and maintenance for solar systems when required.
  • Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), OSHA, and company safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas on rooftops and in attics.
  • Complete any additional tasks as directed by leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Possess 1 to 2 years of residential solar experience.
  • Proven capability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working on rooftops and heights
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record for insurability, as this position requires driving to job sites.
  • Must be willing to travel and stay overnight throughout the state when necessary.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot sun, cold, and rain.
  • Ability to work in various environments, such as rooftops, attics, and crawl spaces.
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, which include bending, lifting, pulling, and carrying heavy equipment (50lbs +).
