Opportunity Overview:

Project Manager - T&S (Transmission & Substation) This is a 1 year contract assignment.(W-2) This role is for a pre-construction Solar Repower Project Manager. The Solar Repower Project Manager leads all pre-construction activities for solar repower projects. You will ensure that it plans, permits, and ready projects for construction execution while maintaining safety, quality, cost, and schedule goals. You must an understand the existing solar assets that are identified as solar repower candidates and how you can incorporate and improve a repower design into the existing assets.

Your Day-to-Day:

Project Planning & Management

• Lead pre-construction project teams through all phases from development handoff to execution turnover

• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk registers for multiple concurrent projects

Engineering & Design Management

• Oversee engineering design activities including electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines

• Coordinate interconnection studies and grid integration requirements

Permitting & Regulatory Compliance

• Work with environmental team to understand required permits and other regulatory requirements

• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, utilities, and local authorities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations

Procurement & Contract Management

• Support procurement activities including equipment specifications, vendor qualification, and contract negotiations

• Manage safe harbor equipment requirements and tax credit compliance timelines

Financial Management

• Monitor project budgets and cost forecasts throughout pre-construction phase

• Support cost capitalization processes and financial reporting requirements

• Report on important financial metrics

• Lead project meetings, reviews, and milestone presentations

• Coordinate with operations teams for handoff planning and commissioning preparation

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field

• 6+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy pre-construction project management or engineering

• Experience with utility interconnection processes

• Knowledge of solar construction

• PMP certification is optional

Technical Skills

• Must an understanding of solar PV and battery storage technologies

• Knowledge of power systems, grid interconnection, and utility regulations

• Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance

• Familiarity with safe harbor provisions and renewable energy tax credits

• Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools

• Proficiency in Excel
