Description:

Manufacturing Technician (1st Shift, Full-Time)

Location: JARP RE

$18.00–$26.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–2:30pm


POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Team Lead, the Remanufacturing Technician will drain, blast, disassemble and evaluate hydraulic cylinders and/or components that can be repaired or re-used, clean, polish, hone, assemble and test the repaired cylinders.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Review the priority list, drain, blast or process to build in priority order.

2. Identify all parts as good or repairable and direct to proper location.

3. Wash/clean product as required.

4. Use prints and/or standard practices for proper assembly of the required components.

5. Review the work instruction, print and “J”/customer specifications for proper assembly techniques.

6. Set up and use torquer and nut-buster for assembly or disassembly of product.

7. Set-up the appropriate test stand to properly test assembled product when trained.

8. Conduct final testing and record on the correct “test log” when properly trained.


MARGINAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist with ongoing continuous improvement efforts.

2. Take cylinders/swivels off- line and pre-package for shipment.

3. Perform other duties as assigned; material handling, janitorial, cylinder assembly-test and product packaging.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. High school education or equivalent

2. Manufacturing experience preferred


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1. Must be able to read blueprints

2. Must be able to learn to use basic measuring devices

3. Must be mechanically inclined and like to work with your hands
