Job Summary:

As a Shipper Representative, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships and securing freight opportunities from both new and existing customers. This role leads a team of Carrier Representatives and Load Planners, oversees shipper operations, and serves as the primary escalation point for customer and operational issues. You will work closely with customers to understand their shipping needs while ensuring your team executes shipments efficiently and delivers a high level of service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers to discuss shipping needs, transportation options, and pricing to secure and grow freight volume.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term partnerships and account growth.
  • Create and maintain account plans, identify opportunities within customer networks, and ensure accurate load entry and shipment details.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team on new business acquisition and onboarding of new customers.
  • Lead, manage, and support a truck load team to ensure efficient freight coverage and execution.
  • Manage daily workflow within the team to ensure loads are booked, covered, and tracked accurately and on time.
  • Serve as the escalation point for customer, carrier, and operational issues raised by team members.
  • Coach, develop, and support team members to promote strong performance, growth, and engagement.
  • Ensure a positive, productive, and professional team environment.
  • Work closely with the TL Operations Manager to align team performance with operational goals and service expectations.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the company brand
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in the supply chain/logistics industry is required.
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team strongly preferred.
  • Ability to negotiate, persuade, and motivate others.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships.


Salary:

$50,000 - $65,000 per year based on experience. With competitive incentive opportunities.
