Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the daily flow of material. This role ensures on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is meticulous, initiative-taking, and able to thrive in a challenging environment.
The Logistics Coordinator will perform an array of functions including but not limited to processing incoming and outbound shipments, creating domestic amp; international shipping documents, scheduling trucks, and data entry.
Responsibilities
  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Understand weekly production schedule and verify material on the floor for shipment.
    • Update and maintain Weekly Forecasted Shipping schedule for metals.
    • Update OTIF (ON TIME IN FULL) board daily.
    • Assist with updating Weekly Revenue report daily.
    • Communicate shipping details with the field team and SPMs.
    • Retrieve OIF (Order Information Form) for all sales orders before scheduling transportation.
    • Request freight quotes and schedule trucks according to the requested land date.
    • Update whiteboard on the floor with daily shipping information.
    • Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and delays.
    • Prepare and process shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
    • Maintain shipping records in the company’s ERP system.
    • Prepare EOS (End of Shift) report daily.
    • Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery; communicate delays or discrepancies to relevant departments.
    • Performs backup for OV (outside vendor) shipments.
    • Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to streamline OV (outside vendor) shipments.
    • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment as needed.
    • Assist with palletizing, strapping, and wrapping of materials during down time and when needed.
    • Track out-of-stock items amp; notify shipping team when items are received.
    • Track small part shipments.
    • Schedule shipments and create commercial invoice and pack slip for international shipments.
    • Verify shipping packets are complete and scan into the shipping folder.
    • Follow 5S policies amp; SOPs.
    • Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customers.
    • Clean work area and remove trash daily.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Experience
• Minimum one year of experience in a warehouse associate/shipping position, preferably in a manufacturing facility.

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. • The employee is frequently required to lift and carry up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
