Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to take ownership of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics activities. This highly visible role is responsible for maintaining an efficient, safe, and well-organized warehouse while ensuring accurate tracking of parts, materials, and shipments.
The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on environment, takes pride in organization, and can work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders. This position is expected to support operations on a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain an active forklift certification and safely operate material handling equipment.
* Develop, implement, and maintain an organized warehouse layout and storage strategy.
* Ensure all inventory, boxes, crates, and materials are properly labeled and easily identifiable.
* Maintain accurate inventory records, warehouse location logs, and material tracking systems.
* Manage and update shipment logs, including incoming and outgoing inventory movements.
* Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including packaging, crating, and working with parcel and freight carriers.
* Perform routine inventory audits and resolve inventory discrepancies.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse environment.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and inventory control.
* Coordinate periodic scrap and recycling activities to optimize warehouse capacity.
* Partner with internal teams to ensure timely movement, storage, and availability of materials.
Required Qualifications:
* Active Forklift certification.
* Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
* Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
* U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements
Schedule:
* Part-Time: Approximately 20 hours per week
* Flexible scheduling may be available based on business needs.
