Job description

Job SummarySEACORP is seeking a Logistics Manager to support the Navy's navigation suite by overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of the supply chain, ensuring efficient storage, transportation and delivery of goods.

Job Responsibilities Include:  

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation, distribution and overall supply chain efficiency, including selecting carriers and shipping routes based on cost, reliability and delivery time.  
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage warehouse operations and ensure goods are stored and dispatched correctly, checking for accuracy and damage. 
  • Source carriers and suppliers, negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships to ensure cost effective and reliable logistics services.  
  • Ensure all shipping, labeling, packaging and documentation meet health, safety, labor and regulatory standards, particularly for import/export activities.  
  • Lead, mentor and train logistics staff, fostering a productive work environment and ensuring employees are equipped to handle operations efficiently.  
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency, implementing corrective actions to improve operations.  
  • Troubleshoot issues in shipping or delivery processes to prevent delays and maintain service quality.
