About the Job:
The Digital Banker I is the first step in a journey to create a fulfilling and rewarding career as a member of the Digital Banking team at Independent Bank. In this position, the DB1 will focus on learning and/or reviewing the basic banking functions, and the fundamental banking terms, products, and solutions offered by Independent Bank. Primary role is to service the customer through various digital channels, which include phone, email and online banking.

What You Will Do:
  • Services and provides solutions to Independent Bank clients in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Provides support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has a thorough understanding of how to solve complex issues through multiple customer communication channels.
  • Delivers financial solutions to clients utilizing the Independent Bank products and services.
  • Utilizes all available technology to perform daily tasks.
  • Understands the basic framework of Independent Bank products including but not limited to consumer and business accounts and digital banking.
  • Fully knowledgeable regarding bank policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for completing the modules and metrics of the position and continuing education as assigned through the Career Path.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Customer service and/or cash handling experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. This includes verbal and non-verbal forms of communication, email and phone etiquette and the ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment while maintaining a commitment to accuracy, timeliness and customer focus.
  • Full understanding of the Independent Bank customer service standards and following these standards daily.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to new ideas, processes, workflows, and systems.
