Job description

1st Grade Teacher
Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 1st Grade Teacher certified in Elementary Education; Reading Specialist certification, ELL, SPED, and/or Gifted certification is desirable. Two (2)+ years experience with children in a school setting is preferred. Familiarity with Guided Reading, Fountas and Pinnell assessment, and Writing Workshop is an asset. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus. Workshops and training during the summer are required. Position available August 2026.
