Announcement Summary
This is a continuous recruitment pool not specifically advertised.
The pool is continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates.
We invite applications to be submitted for potential openings.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for organization, planning and teaching American Heart Association standards for CPR and First Aid. Qualified candidates will possess excellent classroom management skills and communication skills, , Blackboard skills, demonstrate evidence of a career that includes flexibility and willingness to change; open-mindedness, fairness and the ability to see multiple perspectives; ability to integrate technology, and willingness to accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Duties
Duties: The successful candidate will :
1. Be responsible for teaching HEA 112- CPR and First Aid classes.
2. Be responsible for teaching Face 2 face and online classes.
3. Be organized, able to meet deadlines and be able to turn in reports in a timely manner.
4. Assess American Heart Standards for certification and develop effective teaching techniques.
5. Display effective classroom management skills.
6. Display effective communication skills, both written and oral.
7. Assist students will concerns or issues and direct them to the appropriate person.
8. Work with the Department Coordinator to ensure learning standards are maintained.
Minimum Qualifications
Certification required:
American Heart Instructor Certified
Preferred Qualifications
Online instructors must provide documentation of online teaching experience.
