Job description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Fireplace Installer Helper assists the Fireplace Installer with professional in-home and pre-settlement installation of fireplaces. This role supports the installation team by preparing materials, handling tools and equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment-all while learning the trade. The Helper is expected to perform all duties with professionalism and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Essential Functions
  • Assist Fireplace Installers with the setup, installation, and finishing of fireplaces and related components
  • Prepare, load, and organize tools, equipment, and materials for job sites
  • Carry materials and assist with lifting/moving heavy objects (up to 100 lbs. with help)
  • Support installation by following instructions for measuring, cutting, and assembly tasks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times
  • Observe and learn diagnostic procedures and installation techniques from experienced installers
  • Provide general support during homeowner orientations as directed by the lead installer
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety standards and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the installer or manager

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn fireplace installation trade
  • Ability to follow instructions and support multiple tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Dependable team player with a positive attitude

  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
  • Clean driving record/background required
