Altus is a full-service fire and life safety services platform. We offer a complete suite of solutions, from the design, engineering, installation, and servicing of state-of-the-art fire and life safety systems to training, consulting, crisis management and business continuity services. 
Adcock Systems, part of the Altus Fire & Life Safey family of companies, located in Lanham, MD is looking for a Fire Alarm Install Technician to join our team!  The Fire Alarm Technician is primarily responsible for testing, inspecting and servicing fire alarm systems.

Hourly Rate:  $55.00/hour - $63.00/hourResponsibilitiesJob Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Service and test fire alarm and life safety systems. 
  • Perform scheduled or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems.  
  • Inspect, adjust, clean and calibrate, ensuring systems are in excellent working order.  
  • Complete within assigned hours in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving zero callbacks. 
  • Work assignments are to be performed in a safe manner and within specified cost limits. 
Required SkillsQualifications:  
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 2+ years experience as licensed fire alarm technician - programming, installation experience preferred.
  • NICET certification
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, follow directions and meet deadlines. 
  • All applicants will undergo a comprehensive background check. 
  • Must be flexible with working hours and be willing to be part of an on-call rotation. 
  • Report to assigned job site location on time, as directed. 
  • Maintain and properly store tools, materials, and equipment. 
Hourly Rate:  $55.00/hour - $63.00/hour
