We have an exciting opportunity for a Experienced Piping or Plumbing Designer located in Fond du Lac, WI.

How you will contribute:
The Senior Designer models complex mechanical piping and/or plumbing systems based on provided designs and then develops all associated system drawings, specifications, calculations, and bill of material lists for their assigned projects. The Senior Designer plays a critical role as a lead design member of a project team and serves to model and coordinate comprehensive systems that vary in size and scope for the assigned/designated division at J. F. Ahern, so that once a project is in execution, the field/shop has what they need to ensure optimal productivity/efficiency. The design role is critical in that it is the origin point for all projects, and as such, the Senior Designer consistently operates independently and consistently in a methodical yet fast-paced manner to ensure that the subsequent stages of each project are set up for success and timely completion.

What you need to qualify:
Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience designing mechanical piping and/or plumbing systems, an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Design, Civil Engineering, Computer Aided Drafting/Design or related field experience. Proficiency in a recent version of Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud(Forma). Candidates should have a strong understanding of commercial or industrial building construction, have a working knowledge of Wisconsin plumbing code, or mechanical piping systems,  be able to manage a design team's schedule, lead coordination efforts, problem solve, have strong math skills and the ability to read blueprints.
