Alarm & Suppression Inc, an Altus Fire & Life Safety Company, located in Ballston Lake, NY is looking for a Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team!  The Fire Alarm Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems within various facilities. This position involves inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA codes, state and local regulations, and company standards. This position ensures customer systems are functioning correctly and comply with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and functional tests of fire alarm systems, including control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure systems are operational.
  • Accurately complete inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommendations in compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations.
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of inspection results and corrective actions needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of NFPA codes, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with service teams to address and resolve system issues identified during inspections.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are maintained and properly stored.
  • Assist in maintaining customer satisfaction by providing professional and courteous service.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and practices.
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
