Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and functional tests of fire alarm systems, including control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure systems are operational.
- Accurately complete inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommendations in compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations.
- Provide customers with clear explanations of inspection results and corrective actions needed.
- Maintain a strong understanding of NFPA codes, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with service teams to address and resolve system issues identified during inspections.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are maintained and properly stored.
- Assist in maintaining customer satisfaction by providing professional and courteous service.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Level I or higher) or equivalent certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience inspecting, maintaining, or installing fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and devices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused with a professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Hourly Rate: $22.00/hour - 28.00/hour
