We are seeking a Senior Product Manager (Margin) domain that will focus on features, components, and systems that make up Apex's Margin domain. We are seeking an individual with a genuine passion for technology, a strong interest in the dynamic world of trading, and an eagerness to understand the complexities of margin regulations.

This person should thrive on creating innovative, high- performance, and high-volume solutions that support mission-critical operations across a diverse client base. This role offers the opportunity to spearhead the design and delivery of efficient, scalable, and cost-effective margin-focused products, empowering clients with specialized tools to maintain or gain a competitive advantage. We are seeking a candidate who can ensure exceptional accuracy and reliability in this crucial domain while leveraging data-driven insights to shape the strategic vision of our current and future Margin offerings. This role is a chance to contribute to enhancing client profitability, improving financial outcomes, and driving operational efficiency and make a lasting client impact while helping them succeed in a competitive landscape.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategy, vision, and roadmap for client-facing margin products, emphasizing tools for monitoring, analyzing, and managing high-volume, mission-critical business across millions of accounts.

  • Build expertise in your product domain by immersing yourself in market trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging technologies, staying informed to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Actively participate in setting and refining team objectives and key results (OKRs) in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, and senior leaders to align the product vision with overarching business goals.

  • Author and maintain key product documentation such as Annual Operating Plans, Product Charters, PR-FAQs, Narratives, and coordinate with teams to establish production schedules, manage dependencies.

  • Lead the elicitation and prioritization of requirements to drive strategic initiatives that deliver tangible value and business outcomes within the margin product domain.

  • Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of projects by managing backlogs, tracking progress, and efficiently addressing evolving needs.

  • Independently gather and analyze data from a variety of sources to produce actionable insights that drive decision-making processes. Utilize both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to influence product area strategies.

  • Take full end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle, defining success metrics, evaluating performance, and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes. Develop and manage the feature team backlog while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, navigating ambiguities and resolving internal and external team dependencies.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of technical services, API design, database technologies, and operating concepts in fintech industry to ensure robust and scalable product solutions.

  • Constantly seek and integrate cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions to enhance Apex's market position and customer offerings.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience) required; master's degree in business administration is a plus.

  • 5+ years in a Product Management or closely related role, preferably within the fintech sector, cloud-based systems, and SaaS platforms, with afocus on customer relationship management and data systems.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of articulating complex product features, PR-FAQ and strategies with excellent ability to manage discussions and collaborations in multi team settings.

  • Analytical Capability: Strong skills in using BI tools and data analysis software such as Excel and SQL to derive insights and drive decisions.

  • Leadership and Influence: Ability to lead by example, influence outcomes across various organizational levels, and foster a sense of urgency and alignment.

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities, with experience in influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Demonstrated track record managing the full lifecycle of product development, preferably within a SaaS or cloud-based environment, with adeep understanding of Agile methodologies for iterative product delivery.

  • Technical fluency with the ability to effectively communicate with engineering teams, understand modern technology concepts, and effectively collaborate alongside technical staff

Other Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the fintech industry, particularly in areas like wealth management, custody services, or payments.

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with relational data stores modeling, particularly in business-focused SAAS based systems.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with security and regulatory protocols related to sensitive financial data and investor documents.

  • Direct experience or a demonstrable strong interest in customer balances, and regulatory frameworks, specifically FINRA's Margin Regulation as stipulated by 15c3-3.

  • API Design: Understanding of RESTful API design best practices.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a hybrid office, environment 3 days per week.

  • Up to 20% travel (We're a distributed company.)

Salary Range

$147,840-$184,800

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
