What You'll Do
  • Lead cloud financial management initiatives-cost optimization, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Analyze usage patterns and spending data to uncover insights and savings opportunities.
  • Own and manage cloud cost management tools and best practices.
  • Collaborate across teams to embed FinOps principles into the broader business strategy.
  • Create and enforce smart cloud usage policies that balance performance, cost, and security.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
  • 3+ years' experience driving effective FinOps practices at large cloud based organizations.
  • Deep experience in cloud financial management, with a focus on AWS and DataDog.
  • Cloud engineering or DevOps skills
  • Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code tooling, primarily Terraform
  • Strong analytical skills in financial reporting, forecasting, and cost modeling.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services and how they impact cost structures.
  • Excellent communication skills-you know how to explain complex ideas simply.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams.
  • Experience with cloud cost management tools (e.g., Datadog Cloud Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer).
  • A proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and driving improvements.
  • Bonus: Certifications in AWS, FinOps, or cloud financial management.

The applicable salary range for this position is $126,000 - $158,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
