Job description

NOTE: JOB IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL VA. GENEROUS RELOCATION PKG. IS PROVIDED.

Premier printing and converting company in VA is hiring for an experienced Finishing Supervisor for 12 hour night shift.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee night shift production in die cutting and folding operations to meet or exceed customer quality and on-time delivery specifications.
  • Supervise approximately 20 - 25 employees regarding safety, procedures, workflow, incidents, schedules, and any other related matters.
  • Oversee employee training, job duties, schedules, safety, procedures, motivation, discipline, time off, performance reviews, and accountability
  • Supervise quality control/inspection procedures for these departments
  • Coordinate efforts and communicate daily with previous shift supervisor and subsequent shift supervisor to maintain efficient & timely workflow, consistent procedures, and proper employee staffing.
  • Lead employees by setting a good example and having a supportive attitude.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of these departments including equipment and work areas
  • Contribute ideas and implement changes regarding new equipment and procedures to enhance efficiency, safety, and/or profitability of company.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in finishing operations; die cutting, folding, converting, etc.
  • Excellent leadership skills able to train, mentor, and develop employees.
  • Strong technical knowledge of die cutting and folding operations.
  • Collaborative, works well with peers, hourly employees, and senior level management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work overnight shift; 7pm - 7am on a 3,4 schedule.
