Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for Finishing Associate, located in Irvington, NJ. The Finishing Associate will stain, paint and match control samples provided by the client.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience with staining, painting and color matching
  • Experience working with finishes for all types of woods and veneers
  • Ability to achieve color consistency and color matches
  • Working knowledge of products within the finishing department
  • Match control samples provided by clients
  • Sanding and surface preparation
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures and rules
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement of health and safety
  • Report all unsafe conditions and unsafe acts as they become aware
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Finishing manager


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Able to work individually and with a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication & excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to operate tool and equipment in a safe and productive manner
  • Able to lift 50-75lbs; reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, crouch
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Understand Client quality expectations
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
