Job description

The Safety Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across our project sites. This position partners closely with project teams to identify potential hazards, enforce safety regulations, and engage employees in proactive safety practices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop site-specific safety plans with Project Managers and Superintendents.

  • Conduct safety orientations for new hires and project-specific needs.

  • Enforce company safety and health policies as well as regulatory requirements.

  • Inspect job sites for hazards and unsafe practices; document and report findings.

  • Lead weekly toolbox talks and assist in developing safety and training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate others.

  • Skilled in gaining buy-in and promoting accountability for safety compliance.

  • Demonstrates accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and a bias for action.

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Safety or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of safety experience in commercial construction.

  • OSHA 500 certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

  • Valid driver’s license required; frequent travel to job sites.
