Job description

As an MEP Superintendent - Mission Critical, you'll be responsible for the overall direction of field operations on one or multiple mission‑critical or data center projects. Coordinate and execute project schedules while managing labor and cost outcomes. Direct and supervise all Findorff field personnel and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion, and lead by example by fostering positive, effective working relationships across the project team.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and align multiple superintendents to ensure successful delivery of mission‑critical and data center projects
  • Oversee overall project success, including scheduling, production, quality, safety, and MEP‑related risk management
  • Plan and manage MEP scopes, manpower, subcontractors, and short‑interval schedules
  • Monitor job progress, costs, and site documentation to support testing, commissioning, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
  • Coordinate energization of critical systems and support third‑party commissioning, turnover, and client handoffs
  • Execute strategic initiatives and participate in project pursuits, client meetings, and business development efforts
  • Build and maintain strong client, industry, and community relationships in collaboration with marketing efforts
  • Mentor emerging leaders and support training through STP and subject‑specific programs
  • Foster a strong safety culture by enforcing OSHA and site‑specific safety policies across all teams

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex MEP standalone or multiple projects from initial planning to completion
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Excel, Microsoft Project & Outlook, PlanGrid, and CMiC
  • Experience as a Superintendent on $30 million jobs or larger
  • Excellent teaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to maintain a productive and efficient crew; ability to change the schedule and multitask as needed

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent combination of education and experience in a Superintendent/Supervisor role
  • 10+ years’ experience in commercial construction and 8+ years of field supervision
  • 5+ years of experience in MEP‑related commercial or data center construction preferred
