Mission Statement

The mission of the Senior Financial Analys – Labels Manufacturing at Iconex is to serve as a strategic financial leader and trusted business partner to sales and operations teams. This role drives financial health and operational excellence by delivering data-driven insights, enhancing cost efficiency, and supporting growth initiatives. By leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, and by analyzing key performance indicators, customer and product profitability, this position ensures informed decision-making and sustainable performance. Through a strong foundation in manufacturing finance, the Senior Financial Analyst supports the company's commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and long-term value creation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead all financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities for the labels manufacturing segment, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and financial models.
  • Analyze past financial performance to predict future trends and support planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with financial goals and forecasts.

Data Analysis & Interpretation:

  • Gather and analyze financial data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop financial models to assist in decision-making and business strategy.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and financial reports to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Championed adoption of AI-enabled tools (PromptQL and M365 Copilot) to enhance financial analysis, streamline reporting processes, and improve decision-making speed across the finance organization.

Customer Profitability Analysis:

  • Analyze customer-level financial data to determine profitability by customer segment.
  • Evaluate the impact of customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value on overall profitability.
  • Provide recommendations on pricing strategies, customer discounts, and service levels based on profitability insights.

Product Profitability Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of product-level profitability, including cost structures, revenue streams, and margins.
  • Identify high- and low-performing products by analyzing product costs, sales volume, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with product teams to guide decisions on product launches, pricing, and discontinuations based on financial performance.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or other financial reporting tools preferred.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 4–7 years of progressive finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in labels, packaging, or related manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and influence cross-functional teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to plant or manufacturing sites as needed (up to 15%).
  • Ability to navigate a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and light physical activity.
