Finance Systems is seeking a Specialist Lead to support finance transformation by improving the effectiveness of accounting processes, controls, and supporting technologies across Core Finance. This role works across business and technology teams to help resolve system and process issues, support requirements definition, participate in testing and implementation, and contribute to scalable solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SWIFT, and related financial applications. The ideal candidate brings solid accounting knowledge, systems thinking, stakeholder collaboration skills, and an execution-focused approach to improving efficiency, reporting accuracy, and control effectiveness.

As a Specialist Lead, Firm Financial Systems, you will:

  • Support resolution of finance system and process issues across Core Finance
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to help translate needs into scalable solutions
  • Support finance technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, SWIFT, and related applications
  • Help analyze accounting and operational impacts of system changes and process improvements
  • Contribute to business requirements definition and support testing and implementation activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, reporting accuracy, and control effectiveness
  • Ability to help assess finance workflows for efficiency, control effectiveness, and reporting accuracy.

  • Professional with 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, financial systems, ERP-enabled transformation, or related areas.
  • Experience supporting SAP, including SAP S/4HANA, in a finance, controllership, or accounting-focused environment.
  • Experience within accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, close processes, and internal control concepts.
  • Experience helping gather business requirements and partnering with technical teams to support finance or accounting system solutions.
  • Experience researching system and process issues and contributing to root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Experience supporting testing activities for finance-related system changes, including user acceptance testing and validation of accounting outcomes
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant accounting or finance certification (in progress or completed).
  • Exposure to Treasury operations, SWIFT messaging, payment processes, or bank connectivity environments.
  • Familiarity with financial data governance, master data integrity, and control considerations within ERP environments

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,600 to $179,900.
