The Financial Systems Analyst - Hyperion is responsible for maintaining Oracle Hyperion applications,ensuring the smooth  operation and accuracy of the financial planning and reporting system within the organization. This role involves data administration, user support, system monitoring, report development, troubleshooting issues, and providing training to end-users. Will play a vital role in supporting and improving financial processes, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering insightful analysis. 


System Administration:

  • Maintain and update Hyperion application metadata, including hierarchies and members.
  • Manage user access and permissions within the Hyperion system.
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential issues.

Data Management:

  • Ensure data integrity by validating against source systems.
  • Keeping metadata in sync in all the environments.
  • Perform data load processes.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies.


Reporting and Analysis:

  • Design and develop custom reports within Hyperion using Financial Reporting Studio.
  • Improve existing reports for formatting and building control formulas.
  • Improving and developing new Financial Books and batches.
  • Managing automated reports scheduling processes.

User Support:

  • Provide training to end-users on navigating and utilizing Hyperion functionalities.
  • Troubleshoot user queries and resolve system-related issues.
  • Assist with data input and validation processes.

Business Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their financial reporting needs.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for Hyperion configurations.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with facilitating system changes, testing, and overall business support around Hyperion
    suite of applications (SmartView, Hyperion Planning, and Essbase).
  • Facilitate training for these applications.
  • Work closely with Concentra’s finance department, including Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, SEC Reporting, and Treasury, to ensure Hyperion reports meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Develop, test, and deploy enhancements, including business rules and forms on both ASO and BSO applications.
  • Handle ad hoc requests and project work as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree; Major: Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with Oracle Hyperion suite of applications (Hyperion Planning, Essbase and Reporting and Analysis).
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and/or finance systems support.
