About the Role

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst serves as the business owner for financial applications, supporting the accounting organization. This role is responsible for defining system requirements, designing configurations, and ensuring financial systems effectively support accounting operations. Acting as a key liaison between Accounting and IT, this role drives process improvement, ensures data integrity, and enables efficient, well-controlled financial processes and ensures financial systems are aligned with accounting needs, enabling scalable, efficient, and controlled financial operations while bridging the gap between business and technology.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the business owner for financial systems, including ERP and close management tools (e.g., D365, BlackLine)

  • Define business requirements and design system configurations to support accounting processes, including general ledger, financial dimensions, and reporting structures

  • Partner with accounting teams to improve and optimize month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes

  • Validate financial data and ensure accuracy and integrity across systems

  • Troubleshoot functional issues and partner with IT on resolution

  • Support data quality and reconciliation activities between subledgers and general ledger

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, configurations, and business processes

  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across financial systems and processes

  • Translate functional designs into detailed requirements and collaborate through implementation

  • Support system implementations, enhancements, and integrations from a functional perspective

  • Participate in the testing and validation of application changes, integrations, and upgrades for financial systems (e.g., chart of accounts updates, new business units, bank account/config changes, approval workflows).

  • Provide highquality customer service to end users by explaining solutions in clear, nontechnical language and setting appropriate expectations on timelines and next steps.

  • Deliver 1:1 and smallgroup training sessions for Accounting, Treasury, Development, and other stakeholders on new functionality, process changes, and best practices in supported systems.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, or a related role

  • Strong understanding of general ledger and financial close processes

  • Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations preferred)

  • Experience working with accounting close management systems (BlackLine preferred)

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to translate accounting requirements into system design

  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT or technical teams

  • Exposure to system implementations or major enhancements preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact confidently with users at all levels, from staff accountants to VPs and crossfunctional IT partners.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a track record of owning issues from identification through resolution and followup.

  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fastpaced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated "cando" attitude, resourcefulness, and collaborative mindset, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
