Business Analyst IT & Financial SystemsPosition Summary

PTW Energy Services Ltd. is seeking a motivated Business Analyst IT & Financial Systems to support IT-enabled business processes across our 39 branch locations and field construction operations.

This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, with a focus on financial systems, invoice automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will help improve business processes, standardize branch operations, support system enhancements, and contribute to technology initiatives that improve day-to-day business operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and branch leaders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, process mapping sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Serve as the liaison between IT delivery teams and business stakeholders.
Process Optimization & Automation
  • Analyze workflows across branch locations and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Support initiatives to standardize processes across all 39 branches.
  • Support invoice automation, including AP/AR workflows, approvals, and integrations.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual financial and operational processes where practical.
Financial Systems & ERP Support
  • Work with accounting teams to identify and deliver system improvements.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting and ERP platforms.
  • Align financial processes with IT systems, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), invoicing, and reporting.
  • Assist with system integrations and data flow between operational and financial systems.
Data & Reporting
  • Define business requirements for reports and dashboards.
  • Support data analysis for operational and financial decision-making.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems and processes.
Project Delivery
  • Participate in IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Support user acceptance testing, documentation, and training for new systems and processes.
  • Track requirements, risks, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • 35 years of Business Analyst experience in IT or business systems environments.
  • Experience supporting financial or accounting systems.
  • Hands-on experience with invoice automation or AP/AR process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of business process modelling.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a multi-location organization.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of construction, industrial services, or multi-branch operations.
  • Exposure to integration technologies and data flows between systems.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or SQL.
  • Experience with cloud ERP implementations.
