Job description

True Classic is hiring a Financial Systems & Operations Manager to take ownership of the design, optimization, and oversight of financial systems, operational processes, and controls that support accurate financial reporting and scalable business operations. This role will lead financial systems architecture, process improvement, and controls development, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and confidence in financial reporting across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, systems-oriented, process-driven, and highly collaborative and can build structure, drive cross-functional execution, and scale financial operations in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

All of True Classic's roles are global and omni-channel, leading designated areas of accountability across all product categories, countries, and sales and marketing channels. This role will have impact across DTC, retail, wholesale, marketplaces, and emerging channels, ensuring strategic alignment and executional rigor across the enterprise.

Areas of AccountabilityFinancial Systems Architecture & Integration Oversight
  • Own finance's understanding of data flows across NetSuite, Shopify, Amazon, Faire/EDI, ShipBob, Stord, Ramp, and related systems.
  • Partner with Technology to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues and data discrepancies.
  • Lead finance requirements for onboarding new systems, sales channels, fulfillment partners, and software tools.
  • Maintain deep working knowledge of system functionality and expected financial data outputs to support accurate reporting and reconciliation.
Process Design & Documentation
  • Map, document, and continuously improve key financial operations processes, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory cost flow, and accruals.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process maps, and documentation that support consistency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align operational workflows with accounting and finance requirements.
  • Transform manual workarounds into repeatable, controlled processes with clear ownership and accountability.
Controls Environment & Audit Readiness
  • Identify control gaps across AP, inventory, accruals, vendor payments, card spend, and other financial processes.
  • Design and maintain a practical controls framework that improves accuracy, reliability, and risk mitigation.
  • Establish appropriate reconciliation, approval, and monitoring processes based on risk and materiality.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining current documentation, approvals, reconciliations, and supporting evidence.
Financial Operations Visibility & Project Leadership
  • Own inventory and COGS accuracy by reconciling NetSuite balances with warehouse and 3PL records and resolving variances.
  • Maintain visibility into landed cost methodologies and inventory cost flows across the business.
  • Partner with the AP Manager to optimize procure-to-pay processes and Ramp utilization.
  • Serve as finance's lead project manager for systems implementations, integrations, and process redesign initiatives.
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Technology to resolve integration issues, improve data accuracy, and support system implementations.
  • Work with Operations, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to align financial processes with operational execution.
  • Collaborate across Finance, Operations, Technology, external accounting partners, and third-party service providers to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and scalable business processes.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in financial operations, accounting, finance systems, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with NetSuite ERP and financial systems in a multi-system environment.
  • Strong process improvement, documentation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, design solutions, and drive execution across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, manage complex workflows, and improve operational scalability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in DTC, e-commerce, CPG, retail, or apparel environments.
  • Experience with Ramp, Shopify, EDI platforms, Amazon Seller Central, or 3PL systems.
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting, landed cost accounting, and high-volume transaction environments.
  • Experience supporting or leading system implementations, integrations, or finance transformation projects.
  • CPA designation or active CPA candidacy.
