Pauline and Thomas Healthcare, Inc. is a non-profit organization serving individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. P&T is seeking Financial Services Coordinator to support and serve our individuals in leading them to be independent and have an amazing quality of life.

Financial Services Coordinator (FSC) Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation:

  • $20 - $25hr DOE

Financial Services Coordinator (FSC) working Days and Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Financial Services Coordinator's Responsibilities:

  • Develops and/or maintains systems to account for financial transactions for individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities (clients served), bill payments, maintaining all receipts for client's expenditures, and reconciling clients bank accounts.
  • Ensures accurate historical records by establishing and maintaining filing and filing system.
  • Ensures all documentation is recorded and filed timely on monthly basis, reporting any variances directly to supervisor.
  • Complete all monthly reporting by the 15th of each month, balancing all accounts by reconciling entries according to company policies for managing client's accounts.
  • Communicates with client's served, conservators/guardians and Independent Support Coordinators and provide monthly financial summaries.
  • Maintains a system of filing and checking each receipt for reconciliation and accurate monthly reporting.
  • Complies with all federal, state and local laws.
  • Maintains HIPPA and HITECH compliance and confidentiality at all times.
  • Promotes maximum independence among clients served by working with each individual to ensure personal budget compliance and providing funds as requested/guided.
  • Reports financial variances and any documentation concerns as needed and addresses and corrects those concerns with the appropriate team member as needed.
  • Coach and mentor support staff on personal financial accounting for individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities (clients served); attend and participate in meetings as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Protection from Harm and preserving client's rights.
  • Participate in team-based activities as needed/directed.
  • Manages payroll process by auditing schedules and making corrections as needed. Ensures that payroll submissions and times for employees are accurate and up to date.
  • Establish company finances chart of accounts with a high level of accuracy; defining accounting/bookkeeping policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP; maintaining G/L.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Prepare and present reports and information to the Board of Directors as requested.
  • Work to create a positive work environment at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Financial Services Coordinator's Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; or 2 years of accounting experience
  • Experience as an accountant or bookkeeper.
  • Advanced skills in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and database skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently with little day-to-day direct supervision.
  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work well under pressure and use resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience in providing services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or related disorders.
