Job description

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly is seeking a Project Manager โ€“ Civil Engineer to join the team in our Springfield, MO office. This is not a remote position.

As a Project Manager โ€“ Civil Engineer, youโ€™ll play a key role delivering civil engineering design services to a diverse range of clients throughout central Illinois, supporting projects in commercial, residential, governmental, educational, and industrial site development.

Here is what youโ€™ll need:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering practice
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Missouri
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and exposure to AutoCAD or similar drafting software
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to travel periodically, work overtime as needed, and perform field work
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with acceptable driving record

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Previous experience in site development and drainage
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling software

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to plan, design, and execute projects while maintaining compliance with engineering standards and codes
  • Perform master planning, earthwork analysis, utility design, pavement design, and hydrologic/hydraulic analysis
  • Prepare construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Interface directly with clients and stakeholders to support project delivery and business development
  • Conduct report writing, field investigations, cost estimating, construction observation, and attend client

The expected compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $140,000 annually. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
