Project Manager – Fire / Life Safety

Location: Columbus, OH

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 + Benefits


Bright Minds is searching for an experienced Project Manager – Fire / Life Safety to lead the delivery of fire alarm and life safety projects throughout the Columbus market. This customer-facing role will oversee projects involving fire alarm systems, electronic security, building automation, and other low-voltage technologies while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and with exceptional customer satisfaction.


In this role, you'll take ownership of projects from award through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractors, materials, and field execution. You'll work closely with customers, internal teams, vendors, and field personnel while maintaining accurate project documentation, tracking financial performance, managing scope changes, and proactively resolving issues to keep projects moving forward.


Requirements for the Project Manager – Fire / Life Safety:

• 5–7 years of project management experience in a technical environment

• Experience managing: Fire Alarm & Life Safety, Electronic Security, Building Automation, or other low-voltage system projects

• Strong financial project management experience, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and project profitability

• Excellent customer-facing communication and relationship management skills

• Experience coordinating subcontractors, procurement, schedules, and project documentation

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record


Preferred Qualifications:

• Edwards fire alarm experience

• Data center or mission-critical facility experience

• Engineering, field service, or technical project management background

• NICET, PMP, or other industry certifications
