STRATEGIC FINANCIAL ANALYST | SUMMARY

This position serves as the analytical extension of the Vice President of Finance on the Finance team. The role owns recurring executive reporting, financial forecasting, lender reporting, executive dashboards, profitability analyses, and other decision-support tools while serving as the primary analytical resource for strategic projects across the organization. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, enjoys solving ambiguous business problems, and thrives in environments where analytical thinking matters more than following predefined processes. This is an onsite position based in our Kansas City, MO or Springfield, MO location.

STRATEGIC FINANCIAL ANALYST | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Own recurring Finance reporting and analyses, including cash flow forecasting, financial forecasting, lender reporting, executive dashboards, profitability reporting, and other decision-support tools used by Executive Leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted financial partner to Executive Leadership and internal departments byprovidingfinancial insight, evaluating business opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance existing financial models, executive workbooks, and reporting tools to ensure theyremainaccurate, reliable, and relevant.
  • Develop new financial models and analyses to support evolving business needs, strategic initiatives, and executive requests.
  • Continuously improve Finance processes through automation, standardization, and enhanced reporting methodologies.
  • Document andmaintainfinancial models, recurring analyses, and reporting processes to support business continuity and organizational knowledge.
  • Partner with Accounting, Contracts, Revenue Operations, Operations, and Executive Leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic business decisions.

STRATEGIC FINANCIAL ANALYST | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related experience.
  • 2-5 yearsof experience inFinancialPlanning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or similar analytical role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:

  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience withERP systems, Vantagepoint preferred.
  • Knowledge of project accounting and project-based financial metrics.

STRATEGIC FINANCIAL ANALYST | POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

• This is a full-time position.

• Typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm; some flexibility and overtime may be needed dependent on business needs.

• This role operates in an office environment and regularly uses standard office equipment, this is not a remote position.

PAY RANGE 

$70,000 - $90,000/yr – contingent on experience.
