Job Description:

  • Responsible for managing the cost, schedule, execution, and technical performance requirements of assigned programs through all phases, from inception to completion
  • Manages programs/pursuits to help achieve MCC quarterly orders, revenue, OI & cash flow targets.
  • Directs the preparation of proposals, proposal work statements, specifications, operating budget and contractual financial terms/conditions
  • Works with the sales/customers/dealers to determine/identify needs, requirements and new business opportunities.
  • Directs the functional teams (engineering, operations, administrative, etc) assigned to the program(s) to achieve program(s) objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for managing mid to large, sometimes complex program initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving cross-functional teams.
  • Work is guided by individual annual goals and objectives with some oversight or direction.
  • Conducts extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems.
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization which includes customers or vendors.
  • Communicates with PM leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the function or business area.
  • Approximately 10% travel requirement
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA required or equivalent military experience and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum 10 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Master's degree, MBA preferred
  • Familiarity with Defence and Aerospace industry
  • PMP Certification, or equivalent, desired
  • 4 years direct customer interface experience desired

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $92,500 - $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
