Job description

Utah Resident

Stellar Senior Living manages 44 senior living communities on behalf of multiple investor groups, including publicly traded companies. Our portfolio is growing — and we’re building the finance infrastructure to match.

This is not a support role. You will own capital planning analysis, investor reporting, regulatory compliance research, and the financial modeling that drives real asset decisions across a 44-property portfolio. You will also have the latitude to build AI-powered tools that change how this work gets done.

If you are 1–3 years into your finance career and want the kind of ownership most analysts don’t see until year five, this is the seat.

What We Offer:

  • Compensation: $65,000 – $80,000 depending on experience
  • Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k)
  • Unlimited PTO + paid holidays
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Hybrid schedule

What You’ll Own:

Capital Planning & Financial Modeling

  • Build and maintain financial models for capital expenditure decisions — including renovation ROI, debt service analysis, cash flow timing, and scenario planning.
  • Develop reusable Excel templates (Power Query, pivot tables, Power BI, Spreadsheet Server) that scale with the portfolio's growth.
  • Respond to ad-hoc modeling requests from senior leadership with clean, well-documented outputs.

Monthly Financial Reporting

  • Own assigned sections of the monthly reporting package, including variance analysis and written commentary for senior leadership and external investors.
  • Maintain and improve existing reporting templates to reduce manual prep time each month.
  • Partner with Accounting, Operations, Asset Management, and Community Leadership on cross-functional deliverables.

Regulatory & Compliance Intelligence

  • Translate regulatory findings into clear, actionable items for operations, accounting, and senior leadership — no jargon, just decisions.
  • Track and manage ESG compliance due dates across the portfolio.

Process & AI Innovation

  • Build AI-powered workflows (using Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools) to accelerate research, reporting, and analysis.
  • Document processes thoroughly — build scalable, repeatable workflows that don’t depend on a single person.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Utah Resident
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, real estate analysis, or capital planning.
  • Strong Excel skills: complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and the ability to build clean models from scratch.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and basic GAAP capitalization and CapEx concepts.
  • Awareness of ESG and sustainability compliance standards and state-level administrative deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting analysis to senior leadership and engaging professionally with external investors and government officials.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines across different stakeholder groups.

Strongly Preferred

  • Exposure to multi-property real estate, senior living, healthcare, or portfolio reporting environments.
  • Experience with Yardi or a comparable property management or ERP system.
  • Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or Excel Spreadsheet Server experience.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate research, drafting, or analysis.

What Gets You the Interview:

  • Utah Resident
  • You’ve managed multiple deliverables across different stakeholders at the same time — and met the deadlines.
  • You’ve built a financial model from scratch, not just maintained one someone else created.
  • You ask good questions and document the answers.
  • You’ve used AI tools in your actual workflow, not just experimented with them once.
