The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruise Lines brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst reporting to the Manager of Business Planning & Analytics.
This position works on-site in Miami, Florida
The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join the Celebrity Business Planning & Analytics team. This role will be responsible for assisting in financial modeling and reporting, and conducting analyses aimed at driving improved financial results in partnership with the brand's departments. The analyst will also support aspects of capital expense budget oversight.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and maintaining complex financial models to support business planning and forecasting; including financial models that support the annual Operating Plan, long-range Strategic Plan, and other Strategic Projects (e.g. new ship financials and other capital investments).
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling to assess a broad array of business issues. The role will work in depth within different lines of the P&L, from food costs, crew expenses, entertainment, C&R to other miscellaneous.
  • Analyze product and ship-level performance and profitability.
  • Assist with packaging financial reports and presentations for monthly Brand Performance Review and other close reviews, management reporting, strategic planning, and Board of Director meetings.
  • Maintain and enhance existing financial reports to ensure accuracy and relevance, while establishing new reports and dashboards to support business planning, forecasting improvements, and decision-making.
  • Develop insights as well as clear and concise presentations for senior management that effectively translates financial analysis and findings.
  • Participate in financial ship audits of various P&L areas to identify any discrepancies or improvement opportunities and present findings.
  • Aid in all ad-hoc financial analysis requests within the department and in collaboration with other finance and operations teams.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field required.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in financial analysis, business planning, or a similar role, preferably in the cruise or travel industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Working knowledge in Business Intelligence Visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to think independently and explain complex solutions in a simple manner.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities with confidence and composure.
  • Demonstrated team player with ability to work cross-functionally.
