Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist (Contract Contingent) in Charlotte, NC / Remote to support an engagement for agency of the United States government responsible for consumer protection in the financial sector. 

The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to develop and implement a strategy and initiatives to educate, empower, and equip consumers to make better informed financial decisions.

Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0001 Monitoring, Evaluation, And Learning (MEL) Support and will manage Learning Management System (LMS) administration and technical assistance. The LMS Specialist will work to ensure all Webinar-based financial education training sessions are operating adequately and are accessible to the groups participating in online sessions, as well as provide instructional content for all online resources. The LMS Specialist will work with the Curriculum Developer and Financial Literacy Instructor to develop and design online learning content that provides the best financial education and implementation methods for online training participants, and will answer any questions via telephone regarding LMS functionality and support. The LMS Specialist will also understand training and business priorities and proactively look for ways to improve LMS processes to support efficiency.

The LMS Specialist is responsible for serving as the subject matter expert and advisor on LMS functionality and processes, as well as providing LMS support for the Curriculum Developer, Curriculum Quality Control Analyst, and the Financial Literacy Instructor. The LMS Specialist will also be responsible for working with the aforementioned parties to develop and build intregration and implementation strategies to better serve online learning participants. The LMS Specialist will be responsible for answering key questions of participants, both in-person and online, over online chat, email, and telephone communication. The LMS Specialist will also be responsible for managing data feeds between the LMS and other information systems, as well as providing technical support, troubleshooting, and testing activities, when necessary.

Qualifications

The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past two (2) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position.  Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in a relevant field with at least 2 years of experience with demonstrated understanding of program management, technical assistance, LMS, facilitation, and organization of large web conferences and/or training sessions. Bilingual candidates strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred in a relevant field or related subject.
  • At least 2 years of experience providing communication, LMS, educational training and/or knowledge management expertise.
  • Experience developing LMS training materials.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and written reports summarizing data collected.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as a member of a team.
  • Candidate must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to propose possible resolutions to complex managerial or operational problems.
  • Demonstrated proactivity, attention to detail, working within deadlines, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, English verbal, written, editing, research, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Section 504 and Section 508 disability requirements and accommodations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

TRAVEL:  Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
