Grow Financial is headquartered in Tampa, FL. For remote roles, candidates must be located in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, WI, WY.
Responsibilities
Under close supervision, the IT Support Intern will assist the IT Support team in providing technical support to Grow Financial Federal Credit Union employees. The intern will gain hands-on experience with desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and various internal systems. Typical responsibilities will include responding to support tickets, assisting with hardware, software troubleshooting, setting up user accounts and supporting remote access and connectivity issues.
Internship to start Fall 2026.
Competitive pay starting at $20/hr.
Must be enrolled at University of South Florida, University of Tampa, or University of South Carolina to qualify for a Grow Financial internship.
Start date: Monday, September 14th,Tuesday, September 15th, or Wednesday September 16th
Orientation Friday September 18th
We do not interview or hire students in F-1 or J-1 status and will not sponsor them for work visas.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or related field.
  • Basic understanding of Windows 11 and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Mac OSX and general troubleshooting preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of 50lbs pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
  • Must be able to hear and use a telephone.
  • Use of computers requires repetitive key strokes..

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Traditional office setting; This role reports to Grow HQ in Tampa. Qualified candidates must live local to Tampa Bay.
  • As part of your role, you may occasionally travel to other branches or locations as needed.
  • Hands-on tasks may include assisting with hardware setup and relocation.
  • Standard Business hours are 8:00am- 5:00pm, Monday- Friday
  • Requires a minimum of 20hrs/week.
  • Interns will have flexibility around school schedules. Please note schedule will not exceed 29hrs/week.
