D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Copywriter. The right candidate will develop clear, compelling marketing copy that supports brand messaging and customer engagement across digital and traditional channels. This role collaborates with marketing, creative, product, and digital teams to produce content for campaigns, websites, email, advertising, and customer communications while ensuring consistency with brand voice and messaging standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Write and edit marketing copy for websites, digital campaigns, email communications, advertising, and other customer-facing materials

  • Translate marketing strategies and creative briefs into clear messaging that supports campaign goals and brand positioning

  • Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across all marketing channels and content formats

  • Collaborate with designers, marketing leadership, and product teams to develop integrated campaign content

  • Adapt messaging for multiple formats including web pages, social media, landing pages, advertising, and promotional materials

  • Review and revise content based on stakeholder feedback while ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand guidelines

  • Support marketing initiatives by producing content that drives customer engagement and supports business objectives

  • Ensure all written materials comply with brand standards, legal requirements, and company messaging guidelines

  • Ability to work overtime

  • Assist with proofreading and editing of marketing materials produced by internal teams or external partners

  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field

  • 2-4 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in marketing, advertising, or digital media

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively

  • Ability to translate marketing concepts into concise and engaging written content

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form or via DRH applications

  • Produces original ideas and compelling messaging that strengthens marketing campaigns

  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

  • The noise level is generally moderate
