The Opportunity
We're looking for a Copywriter and strategic thinker to accelerate our brand position as an advanced technology company. Working as part of Booz Allen's Strategic Communications and Channels team, this role will translate the complexities of our technology and business into the simple, compelling, and meaningful work that demands attention and inspires engagement from both external and internal audiences.
As a content contributor, you'll help craft both the technology-based brand story that defines Booz Allen and the operational story of how our people work and collaborate to get it done. You'll develop everything from newsletters to scripts, web copy to digital ads that spark interest in the tech we build and the longer-form copy that explains how and why we built it. Operating at the intersection of business and creative, you will collaborate with marketers, executives, subject matter experts, and our in-house creative team to align copy to business strategy, having a voice in both what the work is and how we get it done. We're looking for a strong writer and strategic thinker. We need someone who understands how their copy and storytelling move people down a marketing funnel and can work with others to improve that process. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required
What You'll Do:
  • Lead the development of short-form, high-impact copy across our internal and external channels
  • Create the bold headlines that drive awareness and the clear campaign copy that strengthens understanding
  • Translate complex, technical concepts into crisp, simple language
  • Collaborate with creative and strategic partners from kickoff to creation, approvals, and final delivery
  • Contribute to and help evolve our brand voice, messaging, and tone across platforms
  • Provide copy and content leadership across projects and teams
  • Stay current on marketing trends, technology, and industry language to keep your work fresh and relevant

Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or brand copywriting
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience as a digital-first copywriter, including short-form copy
  • Experienced in the technology ecosystem, including making complex topics feel accessible and engaging
  • Ability to display a passion for clarity, brevity, and creativity
  • Ability to be a strategic thinker who can align business goals to marketing strategy
  • Ability to collaborate and work across functions and disciplines, and be calm under pressure, comfortable with shifting priorities, and confident managing multiple deadlines
  • Ability to balance brand-level storytelling with tactical marketing needs, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and balance competing priorities
  • Ability to provide a portfolio demonstrating multiple writing styles, including conceptual, digital, and campaign work
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience working in-house at a technology, defense, or national security company or at an agency under an ACD or CD-Copy with clients in similar industries
  • Experience in creative direction or partnering with an Art Director
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, ChatGPT, Copilot, and other AI productivity apps
  • Ability to drive a creative process between business executives, marketing leaders, and creative teams
