A Part Time Conversion Copywriter is a professional who specializes in writing persuasive content designed to drive specific actions, such as making a purchase or signing up for a service, while working part-time hours. They focus on crafting compelling copy for websites, emails, ads, and landing pages that increase conversion rates. Unlike full-time copywriters, they typically work fewer hours per week and may collaborate with multiple clients or agencies. Their role often involves understanding target audiences, A/B testing messages, and optimizing copy for better results. Part time conversion copywriters are valued for their expertise in blending marketing strategy with effective writing to achieve measurable business goals.

What are the typical expectations for communication and collaboration for a part-time conversion copywriter working remotely?

As a part-time conversion copywriter, especially in remote or hybrid teams, you’re generally expected to maintain clear and timely communication with marketing managers, designers, and other stakeholders. You may participate in regular check-ins, provide status updates, and collaborate using project management tools such as Trello or Asana. While your hours are flexible, responsiveness during agreed-upon windows is often important to keep projects moving efficiently. Balancing independent work with team input is key, as feedback rounds and edits are a common part of the workflow.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Conversion Copywriter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Conversion Copywriter, you need strong persuasive writing abilities, a background in marketing or communications, and an understanding of conversion rate optimization principles. Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, A/B testing platforms, and content management systems (CMS) is often required. • Translate podcast dialogue from guest and Mel into concise, conversion-focused social captions designed to drive engagement and podcast downloads.

  • Collaborate with editorial, podcast, marketing, social, video, and leadership teams to align copy with creative goals and audience needs.
  • Edit and proofread copy for clarity, consistency, impact, and brand standards.
  • Serve as a thoughtful creative partner to the editorial and brand team, bringing strong ideas, clear judgment, and a collaborative approach to feedback and revisions.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional copywriting experience, ideally with experience in media, publishing, journalism, education, wellness, lifestyle, or entertainment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong creative point of view.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating range across editorial copy, email/newsletter, social media, website or landing page copy, and ideally experience writing for podcasts, broadcast media, or interview-driven content.
  • Excellent headline, hook, and short-form writing instincts.
  • Proven ability to write in another person's voice, ideally for a high-visibility brand, public figure, or thought leader.
  • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to sharpen, simplify, and elevate copy quickly.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to write about the topics covered in The Mel Robbins Podcast with nuance.
  • Comfort working with transcripts, scripts, outlines, creative briefs, research, and raw ideas.

  • Experience collaborating with founders, authors, hosts, experts, creators, or public-facing talent.
  • Experience writing direct-response or conversion-oriented copy.
  • Experience using audience insights or performance data to improve hooks, headlines, subject lines, or messaging.
