Job Description

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting, with guidance from the Director, the planning, forecasting, and executive-level financial reporting for supported business unites and for spending variance analysis, financial analysis, and interpreting financial information to operational leadership.

Job Duties

  • Performs month-end closing duties to include variance analysis, account reconciliations, journal entries, and results reporting.

  • Tracks and investigates financial trends and events.

  • Performs actual and forecast analysis and reporting, including spending, headcount, etc.

  • Assists with the development of financial business cases (ROI, breakeven, projections modeling, etc.) for proposed programs, projects, and initiatives.

  • Monitors KPIs for assigned organizations.

  • Performs ad hoc research and analysis as needed.

  • Assists with the preparation and submission of industry reports.

  • Designs, develops, and monitors expense allocations (departments, colleges, programs, courses, etc.).

  • Helps to design, implement, and maintain better financial analysis, reporting, and inquiry tools.

  • Completes financial analysis and reports for management as requested.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
