Job description

Position Title:

Senior Financial Analyst, Operations

Reports To:

Director Financial Planning & Analysis

Department:

Finance

Summary of Position:

Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will work directly with Operations and Finance leaders to provide a wide range of financial and decision support, including the preparation and maintenance of short- & long-term cost of goods sold, inventory and departmental OpEx and CapEx forecasts, evaluation of new initiatives, and other ad-hoc projects.

This position will provide key analytic support for all financial planning and analysis of the operations organization including, but not limited to, the Company’s rolling four-quarter forecast, annual operating plan, three-year plan, management & board reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform cost of goods sold & inventory planning, forecasting, and budget vs. actual analysis to support the operations leaders
  • Work directly with operations and finance leaders to develop, report and track key operating metrics
  • Maintain and analyze operational data to support operational efficiency and assist with developing and implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Provide essential contributions to the efficacy of operations through identification, analysis and maintenance of data; supporting management in the development and implementation of process improvements and initiatives.
  • Conduct business case forecasting and review for business decision support, including new operations initiatives
  • Prioritize the development of systems to support planning, reporting and analysis and support the implementation and enhancements of the new and existing electronic FP&A systems

Position Requirements - Education, Knowledge, Years of Experience, etc. (Bulleted form):

  • 4+ years of progressive financial planning and analysis experience
  • Proven experience in data analysis and business strategy development
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing business function, medical device industry a plus
  • Strong communication, analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Proficient in Excel. Prior experience with Epicor, Planful & CRM software, a plus
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, preferred
