What the Role Entails
This role owns the financial analysis and reporting that guide BIORAY's strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Analyst partners across departments to improve financial visibility, optimize profitability, manage forecasting and budgeting processes, maintain ERP system integrity, and provide leadership with timely insights that support sustainable business growth.
Core Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Insights
    Translate financial data into actionable business intelligence to inform leadership decisions and drive company performance.
  • Cross-Functional Financial Partnership
    Serve as the finance business partner to operations, sales, and leadership, ensuring alignment and financial clarity across teams.
  • Profitability & Margin Analysis
    Own product and customer profitability insights and provide pricing and margin optimization support.
  • Financial Systems
    Own ERP system implementation, maintenance, and issue resolution to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
  • Accounting Operations
    Own sales and purchase order review, key customer and broker financial management, fixed asset tracking, expense monitoring, and promotional cost accuracy.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting
    Ensure accurate and timely production, operations, sales, and profitability analytics, including ad hoc reporting to support decision-making.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
    Lead annual operational budgets, financial and cash forecasts, and variance reporting against actuals.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), financial analysis, or corporate finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • Experience with ERP systems, including implementation, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience preparing executive-level financial reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional business partners, including operations, sales, and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools (preferred).
  • Ability to work onsite at BIORAY headquarters in Irvine, California.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
