GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
This position is for a full-time or part-time degree seeking student at Kirkwood. Under limited supervision, provide support to the operations of Kirkwood Global Learning department by assisting the team and working on projects as determined by the Global Learning staff. This position requires cross-cultural awareness, customer service skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and computer skills.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Welcome everyone to the Global Learning Office at the front desk in 2008 Iowa Hall
  • Communicate via phone, email, and in person with staff and students
  • Assist Global Learning department, including Study Abroad, English Language Acquisition, International Admissions, and International Student Services
  • Hold consistent office hours
  • Assist with events, activities, driving students as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Must have the ability to get along with diverse personalities/populations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
  • Plans to stay at Kirkwood for at least one full academic year (fall and spring semester)
  • Willingness to work evening/weekend hours as requested
  • Able to work in the summer for summer orientations and other projects
  • Valid driver's License
