$90,000-$110,000 + Discretionary Bonus

A growing mid-sized civil construction company is seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Finance Manager to own and build out the company's financial planning & analysis function. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in operational finance, enjoys creating structure from the ground up, and wants to partner closely with leadership to improve systems, reporting, and business performance.
What You'll Do
  • Own the FP&A function, including financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting
  • Build and improve SOPs, workflows, and reporting infrastructure across the organization
  • Partner with operations and department leaders to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Lead KPI tracking, progress measurement, and performance reporting
  • Oversee project controls within Vista by Viewpoint, ensuring accurate job costing, cost coding, and system integrity
  • Collaborate with AP/AR on invoice review and approval processes
  • Perform advanced Excel modeling, financial analysis, and process documentation
  • Train, mentor, and eventually lead Staff Accountants
  • Design and implement scalable systems and procedures in a growing environment

What They're Looking For
  • 5+ years of finance or FP&A experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, not required
  • Construction industry experience REQUIRED
  • Vista by Viewpoint experience preferred, or other LARGE ERP
  • Advanced Excel skills including modeling, analytics, and reporting
  • Experience designing SOPs, improving workflows, and driving process improvements
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Leadership potential with the ability to coach and develop staff
  • Comfortable working in a direct, fast-paced, no-nonsense environment
  • Self-motivated, emotionally mature, and highly accountable
