JOB SUMMARY

 The Manager in Training Program

Scholar Hotels is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Manager in Training (MIT) program. The MIT program is designed to develop future leaders within our organization by providing comprehensive training in various aspects of management, operations, and leadership. As a Manager in Training, you will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and the skills necessary to succeed in a management role within Scholar Hotels organization. MIT is a full-time, paid development program.

When you join Scholar Hotel?s MIT program, you gain access to the company?s senior leaders and coaches and have many opportunities to stand out. You?ll participate in mini-rotations across various disciplines to learn firsthand how to manage hotel functions. The program is completed within 16 weeks and takes place throughout our portfolio of brands in PA, NY, and WV.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training and Development:

   -Participate in a structured training program that includes on-the-job training, workshops, and mentorship.

   - Shadow experienced managers to learn best practices in leadership, team management, and operational processes.

2. Operational Support:

   - Assist in daily operations to understand the workflow, processes, and challenges of the business.

3. Team Leadership:

   - Support and guide team members in achieving their goals and improving performance.

   - Engage in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment.

4. Performance Management:

   - Learn to evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback.

   - Participate in recruitment, training, and onboarding of new team members.

5. Project Management:

   - Assist in planning and executing projects that drive business objectives.

   - Track project progress and report on key performance indicators.

6. Customer Engagement:

   - Understand customer needs and expectations by interacting with clients and gathering feedback.

   - Help develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

7. Financial Acumen:

   - Gain knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

   - Assist in monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation.

 Qualifications:

- Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Previous experience in a customer service or supervisory role is a plus.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing situations.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
