Position Description:
 
We are looking for a Service Desk Technician to join our IT Team to improve infrastructure in our Pittsburgh office. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The candidate must have three months to five years related support experience in a Microsoft Windows environment and familiarity with personal computer hardware and software configurations. Certification in A+ and/or MCP and experience in supporting civil engineering (AutoCAD, Civil3D, ProjectWise) is a plus. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.
 
 
Typical Responsibilities include:
  • Provide Service Desk support and be accountable for the response and diagnosis of end-user issues
  • Assist in computer troubleshooting and maintenance, operating system and application installations, computer lease configurations, computer deployment and returns.
  • Manage, record, report support activities and inventory.
  • Take ownership of complex problems and escalate to the appropriate I.T. team member to expedite resolution
  • Travel between Wade Trim locations to provide computer, network, video conferencing support services
  • Provide on-site support and assistance for local CADD engineering applications and plotting
  • Troubleshoot server and network issues 
  • Write effective user-oriented Helpdesk work order resolution documentation
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes
  • Anticipate and provide resolutions to problems 
  • Provide hands and eyes support for Server and Network teams
  • Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Skills Required:
  • 3 to 5 years related support experience in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Familiarity with personal computer hardware and software configurations
  • A+ and/or MCP certification is a plus
  • Experience supporting civil engineering applications (AutoCAD, Civil3D, ProjectWise) a plus
