Job description

Role Summary – Process Excellence Lead

You own end to end Finance process performance across core value streams including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report. You establish standards, governance, and performance management to improve cycle time, quality, cost, and control outcomes. You partner with Finance, Digital, and IT teams to simplify, standardize, and automate processes using data, analytics, and AI tools. Your work delivers sustained, measurable improvements and strengthens audit readiness.

How This Role Differs

Business Process Improvement Manager focuses on discrete improvement projects and short term fixes. Continuous Improvement Manager focuses on culture, Lean practices, and incremental improvements. Process Excellence Manager owns end to end process performance, governance, and sustained outcomes linked to business results.

Core Responsibilities

Establish process governance including ownership, decision rights, and escalation paths. Map and maintain end to end Finance processes including systems, controls, and handoffs. Define and maintain standard work, templates, and documentation frameworks. Build KPI structures with baselines, targets, and clear ownership. Lead performance routines including root cause analysis and action tracking. Deliver measurable improvements in cycle time, cost, quality, and control effectiveness. Partner with Digital and IT teams to define and deliver automation and system improvements. Manage intake, prioritization, and roadmap for process improvement initiatives. Lead change impacts, training, and sustainment of improvements. Coach teams on process excellence methods and expectations.

Digital and AI Expectations

Use Microsoft Copilot and AI tools to analyze processes, generate documentation, and identify improvement opportunities. Apply AI to extract workflows from meetings, documents, and operational data. Drive adoption of automation and intelligent workflows across Finance processes. Partner with analytics teams to build insights that inform decision making and performance management.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong process improvement experience with end to end accountability. Deep understanding of Finance operations and transaction flows. Data driven mindset with strong root cause analysis skills. Experience leading cross functional initiatives and influencing without authority. Ability to simplify complex workflows into practical and scalable solutions. Strong communication skills with executive ready output. Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5 to 8 years experience in Finance operations, transformation, or process improvement. Demonstrated results improving cycle time, cost, quality, or controls. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred. Experience working with ERP enabled Finance processes preferred.
